Outdoor Classroom Design
Starting with a flat expanse of lawn, this outdoor oasis was designed to be an inviting space where students could work directly in the soil or teachers lead a class in the outdoors.
A New, More Welcoming Approach
Influenced by the California mission style, this new facade brought the structure up to code, provided a welcoming front, and showcases one of the many environmentally minded features - electric vehicle charging - that not only inform the design, but the curriculum.
Collaboration Designed for Student Work Spaces
One of the main goals for this project was to create a space that was environmentally conscious (abundant natural light, no-VOC paint, cradle to cradle carpet tiles, locally manufactured furniture, etc) and flexible for the changing needs of education.
